KRChoksey Research Report
Investment period: six months. Research idea: Fundamental
State Bank of India - SBI has positioned itself as one of the best-in-class players in the liability franchise market. With strong brand equity and a broad presence in India through its branches, the bank has a robust customer base for its deposits. The bank has built a strong balance sheet in the last few quarters, and we expect to see a strong current account and savings account mix with a focus on the retail segment, which will lead to a stable but gradual improvement in margins.
Infosys Ltd. - Infosys has signed $2.3 billion (48% of net new) worth deals in Q4 (up 10% YoY, down 9% QoQ), $9.6 billion (40% of net new) in FY22 versus $14.2 billion in FY21. Management is expecting some improvement in pricing from the current level going ahead on the back of a significant increase in amount being spent by banking, financial services and insurance clients.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. - The company is seeking funds for its injectables business as it expects it to grow to a $650-700 million revenue business by FY24 from current $400 million per annum. Aurobindo Pharma plans around 10-15 product launches in the segment in FY23, which is expected to drive growth for FY23E and FY24E.
