Oil & Gas Sector Check - Strong Sailing For CGDs Amid A Volatile Environment: Motilal Oswal

With city gas distribution operations set to start in newer geographies, we expect volume in India’s CGD sector in India to clock 10% compound annual growth rate (CY20-30) in coming years.

As per the natural gas infrastructure development plan, compressed natural gas stations are expected to rise to 8,181 over the next 10 years, so as to reduce its dependence on oil imports.

The government has taken various measures in FY22, including the 11th bid round for new geographical areas by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, which will aid growth for the industry and transform India into a vibrant gas market.
