Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. reported excellent Q1 FY23 results. Revenue from operations for the quarter increased 124.2% YoY to Rs 3,622.5 crore (versus our estimate of Rs 1,742.3 crore); led by lower base and better than expected execution in maintenance, repair and overhaul contracts.
Ebitda margin increased 781 basis points to 22.8%; better than our estimate of 17.9% mainly on account of better-than-expected operating leverage benefits on higher revenue growth.
Ebitda increased sharply by 240.8% YoY to Rs 826.3 crore (versus our estimate of Rs 311.8 crore).
HAL's profit after tax increased 218.5% YoY to Rs 620.1 crore against our estimate of Rs 256.4 crore; primarily due to better-than-expected revenues and Ebitda margins.
