Granules India - Core Molecules Launch In Europe, South Africa To Drive Growth In Medium Term: Nirmal Bang

We hosted the management of Granules India Ltd. in our virtual investor conference to gain insights about the current business environment and initiatives undertaken under the Granules 2.0 strategy.

As per the management, Granules 2.0 is a long-term strategy, and it will get reflected in performance after two years. In the near to medium term, launching of core molecules in other geographies like the Europe, Southeast Asia and South Africa is likely to drive growth.

Granules India is a vertically integrated pharmaceuticals company focused on exports to regulated markets – U.S. (48% of FY22 revenue), Europe (21%) and Latin America (10%).

The company remains the key manufacturer and supplier of paracetamol (38% of FY22 revenue), metformin (25%), Ibuprofen (13%) Guaifenesin (3%) and Methocarbamol (3%) globally.

Granules India manufactures/sells these molecules across all formats –formulations (52% of FY22 revenue), active pharma ingredients (26%) and pharmaceutical formulation intermediates (22%).
