Adani Group has sealed the deal to acquire Ambuja Cements Ltd. and ACC Ltd. from Holcim in one of the biggest mergers and acquisitions deals in the Indian cement industry.
The deal introduces a new and aggressive entrant in the market and replaces a relatively milder one. It has straightaway catapulted the Adani group to become the second largest cement company in India with strong brands, deeper reach, quality assets and experienced human resources.
