Price Of Commercial LPG Cylinders Slashed By ₹115.50, Check New Rate

Though the 19kg commercial LPG cylinder prices have been slashed, the price of the 14.2kg domestic LPG cylinder will remain unchanged. The last price revision in domestic LPG cylinder rates was made on July 6, 2022, where the cost per cylinder was raised by ₹50. Since then, the domestic LPG cylinder price stands at ₹1,053 per cylinder in New Delhi, ₹1,079 per cylinder in Kolkata, ₹1,052.50 per cylinder in Mumbai, and ₹1,068.50 in Chennai.

The domestic and commercial LPG cylinder rates vary from state to state as per the local VAT ( added tax).

Though the oil marketing companies in India sell the domestic 14.2kg cylinders to households at the prevailing open market prices, the Government of India provides the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana subsidies for 12 such domestic LPG cylinders each year through a direct benefit transfer to their bank accounts.
