Covid-19 India Updates: Fresh Cases Spike To 7,946; Daily Deaths At 37

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose for the second day, staying above the 7,000-mark.

The country added 7,946 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Active cases, however, continued to decline, falling to the lowest since June 16.

• Total number of active cases: 62,748

• Total patients cured/discharged/migrated: 4,38,45,680

• Total deaths: 5,27,911

• Number of new cases in last 24 hours: 7,946

• One-day recoveries: 9,828
