Covid-19 India Updates: Fresh Cases Spike To 6,395; Daily Deaths At 33

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose for the second day, crossing the 6,000-mark.

The country added 6,395 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 8.

Higher recoveries than additions, however, continue to keep the active tally in check.

• Total number of active cases: 50,342

• Total patients cured/discharged/migrated: 4,39,00,204

• Total deaths: 5,28,090

• Number of fresh cases in last 24 hours: 6,395

• One-day recoveries: 6,614

• One-day deaths: 33

• Total vaccines administered: 2,14,27,81,911

• Vaccines administered in the last 24 hours: 36,31,977
