FPIs Stay Net Buyers For The Second Straight Day

Foreign portfolio investors net bought equities worth Rs 1,344.63 crore, as per data from the National Stock Exchange.

Overseas investors remained net buyers of Indian equities for the second day in a row on Tuesday.

Foreign portfolio investors net bought equities worth Rs 1,344.6 crore, as per data from the National Stock Exchange.

Similarly, domestic institutional investors, too, net bought equities worth Rs 945.9 crore.

Institutions net sold Rs 4,343.5 crore worth of equities in the month of September, and net bought Rs 2,458 crore worth of equities so far in October.

They have net sold Rs 35,368.6 crore worth of Indian equities till date in 2022.

The Sensex added over 1,250 points (2.25%) to close at 58,065.47 on Tuesday. This is the first time the 30-stock gauge closed above 58,000 in over a week since Sept. 23. The Nifty 50 added nearly 400 points (2.29%) to close at 17,274.30.
