The National Highway Authority of India’s bond issuance is likely to be introduced in March or April, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari told BloombergQuint in an exclusive interview on Rajpath.

Gadkari added that the government was waiting for NHAI to use its surplus funds before embarking on the bond issue.

Funds allocated for infrastructure development in Budget 2018 will be used for purposes like land acquisition, with monetisation of 105 NHAI projects yielding Rs 1.25 lakh crore, said Gadkari.
