Axis Securities Report

Our top picks basket delivered excellent returns of 3.3% in January 2022, beating the overall market’s muted performance during the month. Moreover, our basket has delivered an impressive 131% return since its inception in May 2020, which stands significantly higher than 89% returns delivered by Nifty 50 over the same period.

While the mid-cap and small-cap indices were largely flattish during the month and the Nifty Next 50 declined by 1%, small caps have outperformed other major indices by a reasonable margin over the last three months.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. - Maruti Suzuki could emerge as the biggest beneficiary of demand recovery in the post-Covid-19 period, considering its stronghold in the entry-level segment and a favorable product lifecycle. New launches, targeted at filling the gaps in its portfolio, are likely to improve the overall product mix.

Mold-Tek Packaging Ltd. - We believe capacity addition, consistent client additions in food and fmcg, strong demand offtake from the paints segment, growth opportunities in the pumps division, and venturing into new segments like injection blow moulding would enable Mold-Tek Packaging to report revenue/Ebitda/profit after tax compound annual growth rate of 24%/26%/33% over FY21-24E.

Amber Enterprises India Pvt. Ltd. - We expect Amber Enterprises to register a revenue compound annual growth rate of 33% over FY21-24. The company’s long-term outlook remains intact with demand recovery and encouraging growth in the underpenetrated domestic market.
