Cannot Scare Us By Giving Names Of 12 MLAs For Disqualification: Eknath Shinde

"You cannot scare us by giving the names of 12 MLAs for disqualification because we are followers of the Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. We know the law, so we do not pay heed to threats," tweeted rebel Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde.

"We know your ways and the law too! According to Schedule 10 of the Constitution, the whip is used for assembly work, not for meetings," he added.

Shiv Sena Seeks Disqualification Of 12 MLAs

"We've filed petition before the Deputy Speaker (of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly) and demanded that the membership of 12 (MLAs) should be cancelled as they didn't attend yesterday's meeting," said Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant in Mumbai.

Thackeray Government Will Win Trust Vote In Assembly: Sharad Pawar

NCP president Sharad Pawar said the fate of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra will be decided on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, and the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress coalition will prove its majority in a trust vote.

Addressing a press conference amid the turmoil caused by the rebellion by Sena minister Eknath Shinde and several Sena MLAs, Pawar also asserted that the BJP has played a role in the crisis that has befallen the Uddhav Thackeray-led government.

A National Party Has Assured All Help: Eknath Shinde

Rebel leader Eknath Shinde said a "national party" has termed their revolt as "historic" and assured to provide all help to them.

A video of Shinde addressing the group of rebel Sena legislators at a Guwahati hotel was released by his office here. The video also showed the legislators unanimously authorising Shinde to take further decision on their behalf as their group leader.

In the video, Shinde is seen saying, "Our worries and happiness are the same. We are united and victory will be ours. There is a national party, a 'mahashakti'...you know they vanquished Pakistan. That party has said that we have taken a historic decision and assured to provide all help."

Maharashtra Congress Calls Meeting Amid Raut's "Ready To Walk Out" Remarks

Maharashtra Congress has called a meeting of its leaders at 4 p.m. today after Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said they are ready to exit the MVA government, if all party MLAs desire.

Senior Congress leaders including HK Patil, Balasaheb Thorat, Nana Patole and Ashok Chavan will attend the meeting.

Ready To Walk Out Of Alliance: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut told reporters that the party is "ready to walk out" of Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, but all party rebels should return to Mumbai within 24 hours to discuss the matter further.

As many as 35 of Shiv Sena's MLAs are camped in Guwahati, led by Eknath Shinde.

In a fresh video from Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati, as many as 42 rebel Maharashtra MLAs including Eknath Shinde were seen raising slogans. Of the 42, 35 were from Shiv Sena and 7 were independent MLAs.

Shinde Went Against Leadership For Rights Of Party Legislators: Rebel Sena MLA

Rebel Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Shirsat has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, claiming Eknath Shinde took this step "for the rights of all the legislators."

''Only Shinde heard us out and took steps to resolve all the problems. The party MLAs persuaded Shinde to take this step," Shirsat wrote.

The Aurangabad (West) MLA said despite the Shiv Sena being in power, "the coterie around Thackeray never allowed them access to Varsha, the CM's official residence."

CM Thackeray To Not Hold Meeting Today: Raut

Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told reporters that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will not hold any meetings today.

Further, he added that Nitin Deshmukh, the MLA who returned to Nagpur from Surat yesterday and alleged abduction attempts, will hold a press conference.

Three more Shiv Sena MLAs joined Eknath Shinde's camp in Guwahati, reported ANI, as Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray left his official residence Varsha for the family's Matoshri bungalow in suburban Bandra in Mumbai Wednesday night.

He was followed by Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray, along with his mother Rashmi Thackeray and brother Tejas.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut proclaimed that Uddhav Thackeray will not resign from his post.
