Mumbai Sees Rise In Cases In June Compared To May
Mumbai reported 1,265 new cases in the last 24-hours, news agency PTI reported, citing official data.
While the active cases in the city are now down to 10,630, Mumbai reported a 662.98% rise in Covid-19 cases and a 1433.33% jump in deaths in June as compared to May, PTI also reported.
Active Covid-19 cases in India jumped to the highest since Feb. 27, crossing the 1 lakh-mark, as new infections continue to surge.
The world’s second-most populous country reported 18,819 new coronavirus cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on June 30.
The active tally stood at 1,04,555.
