Fresh Covid-19 cases in India lagged daily recoveries for the third straight day, dragging down the active caseload.
The nation reported 4,777 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 25. Daily recoveries stood at 5,196.
Puducherry Reports Over 60 Fresh Cases
Puducherry reported 68 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 1,74,376 on Sunday.

Maharashtra Reports Over 500 Fresh Cases
Maharashtra on Sunday reported 541 COVID-19 cases, including 108 in Mumbai, and two fatalities, taking the tally to 81,19,345 and the toll to 1,48,329, the state health department said.

Maharashtra's Thane Reports 58 New Cases
As many as 58 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Maharashtra's Thane district, taking its tally of infections to 7,44,785, a health official said on Sunday.
