Global stocks and US equity futures fell on Monday, dragged by prolonged weakness in global economy.

At 6:45 am, the Singapore-traded SGX Nifty -- an early barometer of India's benchmark Nifty 50 -- fell 0.36% to 16,6464.50 points.
