Shares advanced in Japan, Australia and South Korea on Monday while US futures declined, after a 3% surge on Wall Street on Friday cemented the best week for global equities in a month. As of 6:15 am, the Singapore-traded SGX Nifty--an early barometer of India's benchmark Nifty 50--rose 1.01% to 15,859.
Focus is also on a summit of the Group of Seven leaders, who plan to commit to indefinite support for Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s invasion. The G-7 is also mulling a price cap on Russian oil.

Zomato: The company has agreed to acquire Blinkit, previously known as Grofers India, for Rs 4,447 crore in an all-stock deal.
Dr Reddy’s: The drugmaker has acquired a portfolio of branded and generic injectable products from the US-based Eton Pharmaceuticals Inc. for an upfront payment of $5 million in cash, plus contingent payments of up to $45 million.
Dish TV: Shareholders voted for a churn in senior management at the company's extraordinary general meeting. Managing Director Jawahar Goel has stepped down, as have Anil Kumar Dua and Rajagopal Chakravarthi as directors.
CSB Bank: The private-sector lender appointed Bhama Krishnamurthy as part-time chairperson, subject to RBI’s approval.
Welspun Corp: The company has secured orders worth Rs 600 crore from India and the US across oil and gas, and water sectors.
Federal Bank: The state-run lender will consider raising capital via equity or debt on June 30.
Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals: Harshad R Patel has resumed the office as managing director from June 24.
L&T Finance Holdings: The company received NBFC registration certificate from the Reserve Bank of India.
GHCL: The company has inaugurated its new spinning unit at Manaparai in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu.
Indian Overseas Bank: The Reserve Bank of India imposed penalty of Rs 57.5 lakh for non-compliance of certain directions issued by it.
