Indian Rupee Ends Lower After Opening Firm Against The U.S. Dollar

The Indian rupee depreciated after opening firm against the U.S. dollar.
The local currency opened at 81.56, appreciating 7 paise against the greenback. It closed at 81.63 on Thursday.
However, the rupee pared gains to fall as low as 0.19% or 15 paise to 81.78 intraday.
At close, the rupee traded at 81.70 against the U.S. dollar.
The rupee had hit a record low of 83.29 on Oct. 20.
