Indian Rupee Ends At 79.90 Against U.S. Dollar

The Indian rupee ended near the day's low, after strengthening against the U.S. dollar for three straight sessions.

The domestic currency opened at 79.79 against the greenback on Wednesday. Through the day, it fell as much as 0.16% to 79.91. The rupee closed at 79.90.

This is most the rupee has fallen against the dollar since July 14.

Still, the currency is above its record low of 80.06, touched on July 21.
