Hindustan Zinc Ltd., a unit of Vedanta, announced a second interim dividend for FY23 for its shareholders. At the current market price of Rs 319.15, that translates into a dividend yield of 5.16%.

If you would have bought before Nov. 23, which is the ex-dividend date, you would be eligible for dividend. If you purchase the shares on ex-dividend date, you will not be eligible for the dividend as the shares will not be credited to your account on record date due to T+2 settlement.

The company has set Nov. 24 as the 'record date' for the interim dividend of 775% at Rs 15.50 per share, carrying a face value of Rs 2 apiece.

The total payout for Hind Zinc will be Rs 6,549.2 crore.

Hind Zinc had previously paid an interim dividend of Rs 21 per share in July.
