Value Of UPI Transactions Rises To Rs 10.73 Lakh Crore In August 2022

A total of 657 crore UPI transactions worth Rs 10.73 crore were conducted in August 2022, NPCI data shows.

The value of UPI transactions rose sequentially in August 2022 as digital payments continued to garner traction in India.

Transactions made using the Unified Payments Interface rose to Rs 10.73 lakh crore in August this year, according to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India. That figure stood at Rs 10.63 lakh crore in July.

A total of 657 crore UPI transactions were conducted in August, up from 628 crore in the preceding month. In June, there were 5.86 billion UPI transactions, valued at worth Rs 10.14 lakh crore.

According to the NPCI, 46.69 crore IMPS transactions worth Rs 4.46 lakh crore were conducted in August as compared to 46.08 crore transactions valued at Rs 4.45 lakh crore in July.

As many as 27 crore Fastag transactions worth Rs 4,245 crore were conducted in August, up from 26.5 crore and Rs 4,162 crore in July.

AePS transactions, however, fell nearly 10% to 10.56 crore and Rs 27,186 crore in August. That compares with 11 crore transactions worth Rs 30,199 crore in the previous month.
