India’s active Covid-19 cases eased as daily recovery exceeded fresh cases.

India reported addition of 1,046 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There were 1,287 recoveries and 53 deaths during the same period.

The country's active case tally now stands at 17,618.
