Covid-19 India Updates: Fresh Cases Rise Above 2,000; Daily Deaths At 12

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose for the second day, crossing the 2,000-mark.

India reported 2,208 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to an 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country saw 3,619 recoveries with 12 deaths in the last 24 hours.

India's active case tally now stands at 19,398 - the lowest since June 2.

• Total Deaths: 5,28,999

• Number of fresh cases in last 24 hours: 2,208
