Covid-19 India Updates: Fresh Cases Exceed 17,000; 21 Daily Deaths

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose after two days, crossing the 17,000-mark yet again.

The world’s second-most populous country reported 17,073 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on June 27.

The active tally rose to the highest in four months.

• Total number of active cases: 94,420

• Total patients cured/discharged/migrated: 4,27,87,606

• Total deaths: 5,25,020

• Number of fresh cases in last 24 hours: 17,073

• One-day recoveries: 15,208

• One-day deaths: 21

• Daily positivity rate: 5.62%

• Weekly positivity rate: 3.39%

• Total vaccines administered: 1,97,11,91,329

• Vaccines given in the last 24 hours: 2,49,646
