Fresh Covid-19 cases in India dropped below 2,000, bringing down the active tally.
The nation reported 1,569 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as of 8 a.m. on May 17. Single-day recoveries stood at 2,467.
Fresh cases last dropped to levels below 2,000 on April 19.
