India's active Covid-19 tally dropped to the lowest in four months on higher recoveries than additions.

India reported addition of 3,011 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There were 4,301 recoveries and 28 deaths during the same period.

The country's active case tally now stands at 36,126—the lowest since June 10.
