India's active Covid-19 cases rose as single-day recoveries lagged new additions.
The country reported 15,754 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Aug. 19. That's an increase of 73.8% over last two days.
Single-day recoveries reached 15,220, while the active tally was at 1.02 lakh.
