Central Bank of India Revises Interest Rates For Fixed Deposits: Check New Rates

Central Bank of India, has revised their interest rates for fixed deposits. Read on to find out the updated fixed deposit rates

Central Bank of India, which is one of the larger public sector banks in India have increased interest rates on fixed deposits across all tenures. The Central Bank of India is now offering up to 6.75% interest per annum on its highest-interest fixed deposit. The bank has also increased the interest rates on a special fixed deposit scheme of 555 days. Central Bank of India has not only increased the increased interest rates on fixed deposits of less than ₹2 crores but also increased interest rates on fixed deposits of ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore for certain fixed deposit tenures. These new interest rates will come into effect from November 15, 2022.

Updated Interest Rates For Central Bank of India FDs

Let’s take a look at the updated interest rates on Central Bank of India fixed deposits for various tenures from November 15, 2022: 

  • For FDs ranging from 7 days to 14 days: The interest rate has been increased to 3.00% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 4.00% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 15 days to 30 days: The interest rate has been increased to 3.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 4.00% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 31 days to 45 days: The interest rate has been increased to 3.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 4.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 46 days to 59 days: The interest rate has been increased to 4.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 4.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 60 days to 90 days: The interest rate has been increased to 4.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 3.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 91 days to 179 days: The interest rate has been increased to 4.50% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 4.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 180 days to 270 days: The interest rate has been increased to 5.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate has been updated to 5.65% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 271 days to 364 days: The interest rate has been increased to 5.25% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate has been updated to 5.65% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 1 year to less than 2 years: The interest rate has been increased to 6.15% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore.  For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate has been updated to 6.25% per annum.  

  • For FDs ranging from 2 years to less than 3 years: The interest rate has been increased to 6.00% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 5.75% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 3 years to less than 5 years: The interest rate has been increased to 5.75% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 5.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs ranging from 5 years to 10 years: The interest rate has been increased to 5.75% per annum for FDs under ₹2 crore. For fixed deposits from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, the interest rate remains unchanged at 5.50% per annum. 

  • For FDs of exactly 555 days: The interest rate for callable deposits has been increased to 6.50% per annum. For non-callable deposits (above ₹15 lakh), the interest rate has been increased to 6.75%
