NHPC Q2 Results: Profit Jumps A Quarter On Higher Income, Margin

The consolidated net profit of the India’s largest hydro power generator rose 25.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,685 crore in Q2.

NHPC Ltd’s consolidated net profit for the second quarter of the current financial year rose on higher margin. 

The consolidated net profit of the India’s largest hydro power generator rose 25.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,685 crore in the quarter ended September, according to its filing.  

Highlights Q2FY23 (YoY)

  • Revenue from operations for Q2FY23 was up 14.5% at Rs 3,366 crore on higher sales. 

  • Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation or Ebitda were up 15.9% to Rs 2187.6 crore. 

  • Operating margin rose to 64.9% from 64.1%.

Shares of NHPC closed 0.11% up in Thursday's trade compared with 0.69% fall in benchmark BSE Sensex.
