Metropolis Healthcare Ltd.’s second-quarter profit dropped, but it was in line with estimates.
The diagnostic service provider’s net profit stood at Rs 40.3 crore in the three months ended September, down 31% over a year earlier, according to its exchange filing. That compares with the Rs 40.1 crore consensus estimate of analysts tracked by Bloomberg.
Sequentially, it rose by 21%.

Revenue fell 1% to Rs 300.3 crore, in line with the consensus estimate of Rs 303.3 crore.
Ebitda was down 12% to Rs 79 crore, against the forecast of Rs 76.7 crore.
Margin contracted to 26.3% from 29.8%. Analysts had projected it at 25.3%.
Shares of Metropolis Healthcare closed 1.2% lower, a day before the results were announced, compared with a 0.39% rise in the benchmark Sensex.
