As countries around the world tame recession fears and deal with high inflation, Jeetu Panjabi said the classic transmission of pain happens through the trade channels and the financial sector. But the current fears are shallow and are expected to resolve in six to nine months, Panjabi said on the sidelines of BQ Prime Future Today Summit.

Foreign investors are not worried even as valuations might be of concern, Panjabi, chief executive of EM Investco Capital Advisors, said, adding that he foresees growth in the long term.

The finance sector is in the early cycle and industrial sector is on a resurgence, he said. He also remains "constructive" on the consumption and discretionary spend themes.
