Adani Power To Tata Elxsi: Four Stocks In, One Out Of MSCI India Index

The changes will be effective May 31.

Four stocks are to be added to the MSCI India Index, while one will be removed as part of its half-yearly review.

MSCI Inc., the world’s biggest index compiler, will add to the standard index:

  • Adani Power Ltd.

  • AU Small Finance Bank Ltd.

  • Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.

  • Tata Elxsi Ltd.

It will remove:

  • HDFC Asset Management Co. Ltd.

The changes will be effective May 31, according to a statement.

MSCI has also added three stocks to the MSCI India Domestic Index. These are Bank of Baroda, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Ltd. and Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.

It will remove HDFC Asset Management, Indraprastha Gas Ltd., MRF Ltd. and Shriram Transport Finance Co Ltd. from the domestic index.
