“Make India The Biggest Software Market In The World,” Urges Mukesh Ambani At NASSCOM
Mukesh Ambani regales NASSCOM audience with technology talk and a gujju joke.
“Actually Trump might be a blessing in disguise for India - it will force Indian talent to focus on solving problems in India,” said Reliance Industries Ltd. Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the NASSCOM Leadership Forum, referring to Indian information technology companies’ fears that Trump’s policies may result in fewer U.S. visas for their engineers.
Ambani linked that need for a domestic focus to Reliance Jio, his company’s telecommunications venture, and the digital infrastructure it hopes to provide.
India has to be the capital of real implementation of blockchain to build the trust economy, to make sure we adapt artificial intelligence and natural language processing, that we adapt drones in terms of our own logistics. I think that the opportunities are immense. We now have the infrastructure to do it in our market and make India one of the biggest software markets in the world.Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries
To young entrepreneurs Ambani said “as an entrepreneur it’s very important to find a problem that you want to solve, that you are passionate about”.
He also urged them to look for solutions that create societal value.
Financial returns are actually a by-product. If you focus only on financial returns chances are that you would not really become great.Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries
Between talking technology, praising Aadhaar, promoting Jio and sharing wisdom with entrepreneurs, Ambani also regaled the audience with a joke about what happened when an ordinary Gujrati person ran into a software guru on a plane.
